Possible defective hose on the radiator. A leak from the radiator hose may allow coolant to escape and get onto the rear tyre. This could cause the rider to lose control over the vehicle, leading to an accident.

The recall affects Yamaha YZF-R3 motorcycles produced between 2015 and 2017.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your motorcycle, you should make contact with a Yamaha dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer.

Manufacturers offer an unlimited time for those repairs, meaning that second or third owners can still get a recalled motorcycle fixed at no charge.
