The insulation material of the windings for the stator of the alternator may be damaged by engine heat causing a short-circuit between the windings and reducing the current generated. If this happens, insufficient charging of the battery could lead to the engine stalling during running.

The recall affects motorcycles manufactured between 21. 4. 2011 and 14. 10. 2016.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your motorcycle, you should make contact with a Suzuki dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer.

Manufacturers offer an unlimited time for those repairs, meaning that second or third owners can still get a recalled motorcycle fixed at no charge.
